“You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.” (Psalm 65:11)
It is with great expectation that, as we start the year of our Lord, 2013, we look to God to send His blessings upon us by granting us the honor and privilege to start work on His house!
The long-term concept for the future home of St. Mary & St. Athanasius Church in Hillsborough will be five buildings comprising of:
- The Main Church
- A Multi-Purpose Building
- A Community Center serving the Hillsborough/Somerset County community
- An Auxiliary Building to be a future small Spiritual Monastic Retreat Center
- The Zeitoun Memorial Museum – A full-scale replica of the Zeitoun Church in Egypt
With this vision comes the site work development of driveways, parking, septic and landscaping, which may also include athletic fields, meditation trails and other enhancements.
Phase One will be the Main Church and Auxiliary Building, along with the site work development. The cost is estimated to be approximately $1.5 million for the site work and $4.5 million for construction.
The church will continue to meet its financial obligations to the ministry, caring for those in need, and operating expenses.
As such, the church hopes that you will also, in wisdom, not wait till the time of construction, but rather work with us in the pre-planning effort by increasing your financial support from today.
May God receive your prayers for the church’s mission, as well as ours prayers for you and your family’s spiritual strength and success.
